Disperse dye with polyester fabric " tex-know"
v Exp Name: Polyester
fabric dyeing by Disperse dyes
v Introduction: Disperse
dye are the water insoluble dyes that dye polyester and acetate fabric .disperse
dye molecules are the smallest dye molecule among all dyes .disperse dye
molecule is based on an amine , hydroxyl, etc group .in 1953 this dye was named as “ Disperse dye “ .

v Recipe and calculation:
·
M: L =
1:40
·
Sample = 3.08gm
·
Dye = 2% or =0.067g
·
Total water =
3.08×40 = 123.2 cc
·
Disperse Agent =
3 gm/l = (3×123.2) ÷1000 = 0.37 ml
·
Sequestering agent =
1 gm/l = (1×123.2) ÷1000 = 0.123 ml
·
Leveling Agent =
1gm/l = (1×123.2) ÷1000 = 0.123 ml
·
Carrier
= 3gm/l = (3×123.2) ÷1000
= 0.37 ml
·
CH3COOH = 1gm/l = (1×123.2) ÷1000= 0.123 gm
·
Time = 35 minute
·
Temperature =
85-90°c
·
PH =
4-5

v Working Procedure:
·
At first, we take a sample dyeing Becker
·
Then take 3.08gm white cellulosic fabric
·
And 123.2cc water
·
Then Carrier CH3COOH weight by digital
balance. Take as our recipe% of chemical
·
After That we add all chemical. Disperse agent,
sequestering agent, leveling agent, as per our recipe chart.
·
Then adds 2% stock- color as we find our calculation
·
Andmixed all chemical then, wet sample fabric squeezewater.
then the sample fabric put in the beaker and close this, now start dyeing in
80-90°c and 4-5 Ph for 35 minute process this dyeing.
·
After dyeing cool wash this sample fabric and dry this
fabric
v Conclusion:By this
experiment now we know about Disperse dyes, Recipe, recipe Calculation and
Working Procedure of Disperse Dyes. Its will be helpful for us.
