Exp Name : Reactive dyeing with white cotton
fabric .
Introduction : Reactive dye is the most important
method of cellulosic fabric . Reactive dye is covalent bond with cellulosic fabric with an excellent color fastness .
Objective :

dyes are most commonly used in dyeing of cellulose fabric

dye any class of highly colored organic substances

Reactive
dyeing process is easy
Recipe of Reactive dyeing :
·
M:L = 1:20
·
Sample = 5gm
·
Dye = 4% or =0.4
·
Total
water = 5×20 = 100 ml
·
Wetting
agent = 2.5 gm/l = (2.52×100)÷1000 =
0.25 ml
·
Sequestering
agent = 2 gm/l = ( 2×100)÷1000 = 0.2 ml
·
Leveling
agent = 2gm/l =
(2×100)÷1000 = 0.2 ml
·
Salt = 80gm/l = (80×100)÷1000= 8 gm
·
Soda = 30gm/l = (30×100)÷1000 = 3gm
·
Time = 60 minute
·
Temperature
= 60°c
·
Ph = 10-11

sample :
Working Procedure:
·
At
first we take a sample dyeing Becker
·
Then
take 5gm white cellulosic fabric
·
Now
take 100ml water
·
Now add all chemical as wetting agent,
sequestering agent, leveling agent, as our recipe chart.
·
Then
adds stock- color as we find our calculation
·
Now
salt ,soda weight by digital balance. Take as our recipe% of salt soda
·
Now mixed all chemical then ,wet sample
fabric and squished fabric drop water . then the sample fabric put in the
beaker and close this ,now start dyeing in 60°c and 10-11 ph for 60
minute process this dyeing .

After
dyeing cool wash this sample fabric and dry this fabric
Conclusion:
Reactive dyeing process is easy for cellulosic fabric dyeing. this reactive
dyeing process is help me to know how its work and use chemical also know to
time ,temperature, PH and after dyeing complete washing process .
